AI Animator / Cinematic AI Director

Brand Labs is an AI cinematic production company. We make filmic, story-driven work, not generic stock-style AI clips, and we're looking for a freelance AI animator who can think like a filmmaker and direct AI tools to match. This is project-based and flexible. You take on work when it fits your schedule, and we scope each project independently. What you'll do: Translate scripts, boards, and reference frames into finished cinematic sequences using AI video tools. You'll own shots end to end: shaping prompts, directing camera language and performance, iterating toward a specific creative intent, and delivering output that holds up at a professional standard. You're working toward a director's vision (sometimes your own, sometimes ours), not just generating clips and hoping. What we're looking for: - Hands-on fluency across the major AI models & platforms (e.g. Seedance, Higgsfield, Magnific, Claude, Nano Banana, Luma, Midjourney, and whatever's newest). - A genuine filmmaking background or sensibility: you understand shot composition, lensing, lighting, pacing, continuity, and how a sequence cuts together. - The ability to direct the AI: controlling motion, camera moves, mood, and performance through precise prompting and iteration, and problem-solving around model limitations and content filters. - Comfort with post: assembling shots, basic grading, and delivering clean, edit-ready files (Premiere Pro or equivalent a plus), After Effects a big plus. - Self-directed and reliable on a freelance basis: you can take a brief and run with it. - A reel or portfolio of AI-assisted cinematic work (this is the single most useful thing you can send). - Experience maintaining character/world consistency across shots. Familiarity with structured prompt workflows or production pipelines. Details: Freelance, by-project, flexible scheduling. Fixed project rate depending on scope, complexity, and deliverables.
